The stats are out! There were 56,614 attendees at Gen Con 2014 with a turnstile attendance of 184,699. It was a great time and I got to see a lot of games, most of which were on my list. There were some surprises, but that’s part of the fun of Gen Con!
I leave for Indianapolis tomorrow morning with a variety of games in tow and big plans for Gen Con. There’s a lot going on at the convention this year, and I’ve done my best to plan ahead a bit.
Back at Gen Con 2013, I got to play a game that was popular at the show called Gravwell: Escape from the 9th dimension. I’d heard some friends talk about the game positively, but I didn’t get a chance to pick the game up. Now that it’s out at stores, I thought I’d give it another look.
Now that I’m back from Gen Con, I’m finding that it was a very hectic four days. Also, somewhere along the way my voice box decided to give up. But the important thing is that I had fun and got to check out some new games.
