To say I’ve been distracted is putting things lightly. I’ve been doing my best to enjoy the time when I’m not busy, but it’s been hard getting any board games to the table. However, I got a Steam Deck in August, so let’s talk about what I’ve been playing there.
I enjoy a variety of games from highly strategic to chaotic and silly. Fantasy Realms falls somewhere in between with many unique cards and lots of combos for points. Now there’s a Star Trek and a Marvel take on the game template. Let’s talk about these follow-ups and how they match up.

Machi Koro is a very light and cute tableau building game that was released in 2012. Riding on the wave of other legacy games, Machi Koro Legacy was released in 2019.
