New Games, New Year, and News

Sorry for the lack of updates, but things have been keeping me rather busy as of late. Been playing a lot of games, working on game related projects, planning conventions, and helping out with some folks new to the hobby. Here’s an update so you know what I’ve been up to lately. Mayfair Game Day!

On January 19th at 1 PM I’ll be at Gamers Haven in Parma Heights, Ohio showing off a variety of games from Mayfair Games. I know playing a game with kids can be a challenge, but Catan: Junior does a great job of being fun and interesting for children and adults alike. Atlantis is a relative newcomer to Mayfair, but is one of my favorites. The interesting game play keeps me coming back for another game. Geek-Craft is excited to welcome Stronghold Games to the list of companies that support our demos. On January 5th, 2013, the first demo day at Gamers Haven will be Stronghold Games, including Revolver 2, Little Devils, Crazy Creatures of Dr. Gloom, Crude, CO₂, Core Worlds, Code 777, Space Cadets, Milestones, and Survive, the classic game of escaping Atlantis. Holiday Game Bash!

Yesterday the local Meetup group, North Coast Gamers, held their annual Holiday Game Bash. Fifteen hours of gaming, demos, and give aways, and a silent auction. I got to sit down and teach Fleet, Pirate Dice, and Defenders of the Realm: Battlefields, and I also got to play a bunch of other games.
