The folks over at Ares Games are known for Wings of Glory, but they put up a new Kickstarter project for Galaxy Defenders. The game is a cooperative tactical, scenario based board game for one to five players. They contacted me to do a preview before the project ends.
Growing up, I absolutely loved the movie The Princess Bride. There was the right kind of humor in the movie that I could watch it again and again and catch different jokes each time. Now GameSalute has the rights to make official games, and they sent me a preview copy of Prepare to Die, their Princess Bride inspired party game.
Patrick over at Crash Games has a new project on Kickstarter for Paradise Fallen. I was skeptical at first, with no reviews and no videos showing how the game works. However, Patrick sent me a prototype copy to try out and review.
I’ve been talking with some friends about things to do to make games just a little bit better. I think there are two main categories of upgrades to games, additions and replacements. I’m a fan of both, and want to talk about what it can do to a game.
Sorry for the hiatus in posting. This thing called life decided to get in the way of my gaming time, but now I’m fighting back! I’m going to cover PAX East, TableTop Day, and what kinds of demos I’m planning for April.
I’m still not 100% recovered from PAX East, but I’m doing pretty good. I’m hoping to do a post about it sometime next week. However, the focus for now is on International TableTop Day, which is tomorrow.
