I’ve had my Steam Deck since August of 2022 and I think it’s a wonderful piece of technology. However, they aren’t cheap and people have had a lot of questions. I know a bunch of things are already online along these lines, but I thought that the people who I know and who know me would appreciate a run through of my experiences.

This’ll come a shock to approximately no one, but I really enjoy playing board games. I figured out a while ago that the stuff in the box obviously makes the game, but there are a number of things you can purchase that will take your gaming experiences from fun to awesome. Let’s talk about board game accessories.
As with any hobby, there can be a lot of jargon that is thrown around that makes sense if you’re in the know, but can scare people who don’t know what you’re talking about away. As someone who welcomes everyone to my gaming table and to explore boardgaming as a hobby, I thought I’d help define some terms that are thrown around. These are not meant as an end-all source for terms, as some of them are vague at best, but it’s a start.
Math Trades are intimidating to anyone who hasn’t done one before. There’s a ton of games to look at, many things to consider, and so much information that people can get overwhelmed very easily. As someone who’s done a number of Math Trades in the past, I’m here to help make things a bit clearer.
