As much as I enjoy long games with deep strategies, I still love playing simple games that are easy to learn and teach. Qwixx is a recent acquisition that’s a very simple game, but is it simple and fun?
February was a busy month for a bunch of reasons. Some good, some bad, but there were a fair amount of new-to-me games played as well as some favorites.
Van Ryder games has made some unique games before, and now they’re working on getting Saloon Tycoon published. Is this game just a bunch of snake oil or is it worth staking a claim over?
Green Couch Games has published games about fighting dinosaurs, building treehouses, and gaining favor and power in a small town. After all that work, it’s time for dinner with Wok on Fire. Is this meal delicious or should it get sent back to the kitchen?
In an effort to keep myself honest about acquisitions, progress on my 10 x 10 and 1 x 100 challenges, and help me post more, I thought it would be a good idea to talk about January in terms of gaming for me. Hits, misses, and discussions!
