I really enjoy puzzle games and solo board games for similar reasons. It’s all about figuring out the best move and how to do better every time you fail. I was sent a code for Howl, a turn-based video game that feels like a board game. Let’s talk about the game play and if I wolfed it up.
I’ve had my Steam Deck since August of 2022 and I think it’s a wonderful piece of technology. However, they aren’t cheap and people have had a lot of questions. I know a bunch of things are already online along these lines, but I thought that the people who I know and who know me would appreciate a run through of my experiences.
To say I’ve been distracted is putting things lightly. I’ve been doing my best to enjoy the time when I’m not busy, but it’s been hard getting any board games to the table. However, I got a Steam Deck in August, so let’s talk about what I’ve been playing there.
As much as I like my board games, there are some digital games that really have a board game feel. Roguebook will launch on June 24th, but I got a preview version to check the game out. It’s a deck-building and dungeon crawling game set in a storybook where you fill in parts. Let’s see if the game is all write.
