Tessen Review – Speedy Set Collection

While at Origins, I got to meet Chris Zinsli, better known on Twitter as @CardboardEdison. It was a rocky introduction, but he introduced me to Tessen, a game he and his wife designed, and offered to let me play it later that night at the UnPub area.

Council of Verona Review –

As much as I love long and intense games, I also really enjoy short games that are quick to learn and play. Patrick at Crash Games has a game on Kickstarter called Council of Verona. It’s based on Romeo and Juliet, and is the first in the Pub Series of games.

Monsters and Maidens – A Preview

I received a prototype of Monsters and Maidens, a push your luck dice rolling game that’s aimed at coming out this year. Push your luck games are some of my favorite to play, despite the inability to do well at most of them. This one has some unique mechanics to it though.

Paradise Fallen Review

Patrick over at Crash Games has a new project on Kickstarter for Paradise Fallen. I was skeptical at first, with no reviews and no videos showing how the game works. However, Patrick sent me a prototype copy to try out and review.

I love board gaming, but I hate that if I want to take more than a couple of games with me to a store to demo or on vacation, I have to use several bags. I’ve actually taken to using a rolling duffel bag loaded with games in their boxes, but I saw what I think is a great idea on Kickstarter.
