Been a while since I made a post, and with the state of everything, I think you’ll understand why. This is what’s been going on with me and how I see Geek-Craft changing.
I’ve had my Steam Deck since August of 2022 and I think it’s a wonderful piece of technology. However, they aren’t cheap and people have had a lot of questions. I know a bunch of things are already online along these lines, but I thought that the people who I know and who know me would appreciate a run through of my experiences.
To say I’ve been distracted is putting things lightly. I’ve been doing my best to enjoy the time when I’m not busy, but it’s been hard getting any board games to the table. However, I got a Steam Deck in August, so let’s talk about what I’ve been playing there.
I did a day trip down to Columbus, Ohio to attend Origins on Saturday. It’s only a 2-hour drive, and with masks and vaccines required, it was still a risk, but a calculated and acceptable one. Let’s talk about games I got, games I saw, and plans going forward.
I enjoy a variety of games from highly strategic to chaotic and silly. Fantasy Realms falls somewhere in between with many unique cards and lots of combos for points. Now there’s a Star Trek and a Marvel take on the game template. Let’s talk about these follow-ups and how they match up.
